Downtown is so quaint with the old buildings & storefronts...all 2 blocks of Main Street.

Last month, a new little star was born: Love, Hope & Soap! my new retail shoppe for the many soaps & things I dream up to make. So far, it's been well accepted by the people of Bastrop, and I've been having a blast setting it up, making new things & doing the meet & greet with people that come in.

Love, Hope & Soap! opened it's doors at 1022 Main Street, Suite G in Bastrop, Texas.

My shoppe. Sorry folks, Country Chick has her own shoppe now & life is suddenly very different!

NOW I get PAID to eat, sleep, drink & breathe SOAP!

But I digress.

Mr. Will got to name this new men's fragrance, since he claims it (but he is gracious enough to allow me to sell it in the shoppe.)

Drum Roll, please.

'Quiet Magic' (the new fragrance, in case you weren't listening) is a subtle blend of "something I recognize but can't put my finger on"...and it's very nice. Some of the most discriminating guys & gals "back east" just love it & want to know where they can buy it. Guess I'd better get busy making some. Even Mr. Will has used up all of his own!

Off to the lab I go, mixing & blending on the way!

Intriguing Breakfasts

The other morning at breakfast, we were having one of our intriguing breakfast conversations. Suddenly, something Will said made me think of the scent I'd like to work into the men's fragrance line we're collaborating on.

Next thing you know I was at the counter mixing away, with suggestions coming fast from the bleachers. No, Will's breakfast didn't get cold, MINE did. Ahhhh, but the fragrance we came up with is out of this world! It is currently in the form of Body Mist, and he carries it everywhere in his suit pocket.

NOW, we are discussing the NAME for this new fragrance--even when we should be doing other stuff. (I wonder if he's sorry he married a soaper yet!?) Will is quickly learning that I can only think of making soap, making Will's dinner, making Will's breakfast & very few other things...and soap usually comes first!
